Mental health is a serious problem in Indonesia, but not many people are aware or open to their struggles. Especially since covid came, more people are experiencing issues with their mental health. It has become an issue since covid has changed our lifestyles and creates stress to everyone in different ways. Some people view mental health as troublesome and a way to seek people's attention. Some parents are not supportive of their child’s mental health because they don’t want people to view them as ‘different’ or they assume that children at a young age or teen years don’t experience the real world.

But as time goes on the younger generations (millennials, generation Z) are much more open and are fully aware about it. People are spreading more information about mental health and it is often discussed in school and on social media. More People are accepting and supportive of one another. Although the awareness of mental health has not increased excessively, there has been improvements and more recognition compared to the past few years.
